On September 11th 2001, the world changed for everyone. The significance of the mission that ended with bin Laden’s death has a symbolic importance greater than its military value. It brought a much needed moment of moral clarity, of unambiguous American valor, that completed the historical arc that began with the 911 attacks.

The death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of US Navy SEAL’s tore into a decade-old wound for families of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks he led. Some greeted news of his death as a triumph, a cause for celebration, while for others it was a moment for reflection and quiet remembrance. For many it was an important moment along the path towards healing. Many of the Navy SEAL’s on that mission were directly motivated by the events of 911. It started them on a journey that would eventually lead to the closing of a chapter on one of the most significant events in modern history.

Using the most advanced virtual reality image technology this dramatic event will be explored through the eyes of those who were there, and through the thoughts and reflections of people that it directly impacted, to create a historical document for future generations.

Our goal is to utilize new technologies that bring the viewer into the world as told through the eyes of the people who were there.
